What mobile devices are compatible with Mevo+?

If I buy a used Mevo+ unit, do I get the original E6 Connect courses?

No, the E6 connect iOS bundle that comes with the Mevo+ during the original transaction is not transferable. If the user decides to sell his or her Mevo+ unit, the purchaser of the used unit will have to purchase a separate E6 bundle to gain access to courses and driving ranges.

Does Mevo+ have a built-in camera?

Yes, Mevo+ has a built-in camera for sensor alignment only.

How is the video recorded?

The video is taken with your Apple or Android camera in the FS Golf application.
The radar is synchronized with your Apple or Android device to automatically record and clip video of your swing with data overlay.

Can Mevo+ be used indoor and outdoor? How much space is needed indoors?

Yes - Mevo+ can be used indoors and outdoors.

Space Requirements:
Indoor and Outdoor: 7-9 feet sensor to tee distance
Short Indoor: 8 Feet Sensor to tee and min 8 feet ball flight

Where is the unit setup/placed?

Indoor Setup: Mevo+ will sit 8 feet behind the tee location.

Outdoor Setup: Mevo+ will sit 7-9 feet behind the tee location.

Simulator Setup: Mevo+ will sit 7 feet behind the tee location.

What is the size of Mevo+?

Does Mevo+ have its own power source?

Yes. The battery life is up to 2 hours on a full charge, and up to 1.5 hours in simulator play.

What is the warranty on Mevo+?

There is a 1 year hardware warranty on manufacturer defects.

Does Mevo+ work with iPad?

Yes, Mevo+ does work with an iPad.

Does Mevo+ work with Android?

Yes, the FS Golf App and the FS Skills App are both available on the Android platform with Mevo+.

What simulation software is Mevo+ integrated with?

Mevo+ is integrated with TruGolf (E6 Connect) and comes with ownership of 5 golf courses (Aviara, Stone Canyon, Wade Hampton, Sanctuary, Belfry), 17 ranges, and a mini game powered by E6. This bundle that comes with the purchased of Mevo+ is for iOS only. Customers have the option to purchase additional E6 simulation packages if they want more courses. Mevo+ is also integrated with The Golf Club and Creative Golf 3D which are both PC only.

Can measurements be converted to meters and km/h in the Mevo+ application?

Yes.

Is there a yearly fee?

Myflightscope.com is our online cloud that allows users to view, store, and review each practice session.
You will be able to store three videos per month free of charge. If you wish to store more videos each month, you can purchase more storage. All FlightScope Mevo+ data parameters will always be available free of charge. There is also an optional support agreement available to put your Mevo+ under extended warranty.

How much is the FlightScope Golf app?

There is no cost for the FlightScope Golf App. It is included with a purchase of Mevo+.

Does Mevo+ have a combine feature?

Yes, the Mevo+ is compatible with the FS Skills App available on iOS and Android.

Do I need metallic stickers on the golf ball indoors and outdoors when using Mevo+?

Metallic stickers are recommended to accurately measure spin indoors as ball flight is limited, but stickers are not needed during outdoor use.

Is there a practice driving range view with Mevo+?

Yes.

Can you input more than 14 clubs?

Yes, you can input an unlimited number of clubs.

What data parameters does Mevo+ provide?

Mevo+ provides Carry Distance, Club Head Speed, Smash Factor, Apex Height, Flight Time, Ball Speed, Vertical Launch Angle, Horizontal Launch Angle, Lateral Landing, Angle of Attack, Total Distance, Roll Distance, Spin Axis, Spin Rate, Spin Loft, and Shot Shape.

What is the latest firmware version for Mevo+?

The latest firmware version is DSP version 0.19.

What is included in a Mevo purchase?

Along with your Mevo, you will receive a USB charging cable, 50 metallic stickers, a carrying pouch, and a manual.

Are webinars on Mevo and Mevo+ available?

Is the Mevo covered by a warranty?

Yes - all units are covered by a 12 month limited hardware warranty, which covers defects in materials and workmanship.

Is Mevo sold on any third-party websites?

Hardware & Technology

How does Mevo compare to other FlightScope models?

Mevo is a 3D doppler radar unlike our other models in that it does not have phased array technology. For this reason, Mevo has limited capabilities and data parameters compared to other FlightScope products, but it is the most accurate of its kind.

It is a unique radar, synchronized with your mobile device to automatically record and clip video of your swing with data overlay. FlightScope Mevo was developed as a consumer product for golfers to practice with a purpose while still having the option to receive lessons and tips from an instructor who uses the higher-end FlightScope model.

Does Mevo have a built-in camera? How is the video recorded?

No, Mevo does not have a built-in camera. The video is taken with the camera on your mobile device within the Mevo app. The Mevo radar synchronizes the action video clip, which is recorded on your device automatically, resulting in an overlay of your captured data on the video clip of your swing.

What is the size of a Mevo?

Does Mevo have its own power source?

Yes. The battery life is up to 4 hours on a full charge.

*Please note that Mevo will power off automatically after 3-5 minutes of no use. The power button is only used to turn on the Mevo and cannot be used to turn it off.

How long does it take to reach a full charge?

Mevo’s battery reaches a full charge in about two hours. Charging times will vary with different charging voltages.

Does Mevo work with BodiTrak or FocusBand?

Mevo works with FocusBand but does not work with BodiTrak.

Mobile Devices & Apps

Is there an additional fee for apps and data?

All FlightScope Mevo data parameters are included in the Mevo apps, but videos require a subscription for online storage and viewing. The Mevo golf app can both be downloaded in the Apple Store or on Google Play, and is free of charge to Mevo owners. You can also subscribe to one of our premium memberships with additional features here.

Do the apps support metric and non-metric units of measurement?

Yes: In Settings you can choose between Metric(km/h, m, seconds etc ) , Imperial( mph, feet and inches etc) or Scientific(m, seconds, m/s etc) units.

What are the latest versions of the applications?

Data & Accuracy

Can Mevo be used when balls are hit into a net?

Yes, as long as the minimum space requirements are met.

Can Mevo record video with data overlay?

Yes. Once you select video in the settings, the app will access the camera on your mobile device. In addition, slow motion video is available for mobile devices that have the feature.

Does Mevo simulate ball flight?

Yes. The Mevo provides 2D trajectories. It does not however provide 3D trajectories and shot shape.

Does Mevo work in low light conditions?

Yes. Radar technology does not require direct sunlight for accurate measurement and is completely unaffected by low light conditions! However, Mevo's performance can and may be affected by fluorescent lighting.

Are there any conditions that can affect or interfere with Mevo's performance?

Yes. Mevo's performance can be affected by fluorescent lighting, heavy machinery, excess metal, and/or any rotating objects (fans, air conditioning units, etc.) in the surrounding area.

Mevo for Golf

Will the app have a combine feature?

There is not a combine feature for Mevo at this time.

Is there a practice driving range view with the app?

No, there is no driving range view.

Can you input more than 14 clubs in the app?

Yes, there is an unlimited number of clubs that can be added.

Can the app accept the club loft of each club?

Club loft can be input manually for reference purposes only.

Where should the Mevo unit be placed for best results?

Your Mevo should be placed 4-7 feet behind the golf ball on the ground. We have seen the best results with wedges at 4 feet and drivers at 7 feet, specifically with higher club speeds.

Can Mevo be used indoors and outdoors, and how much space is required?

Yes, Mevo can be used indoors and outdoors. The space requirements for indoors is 8 feet of ball flight and 4-7 feet behind the impact. In total you will need up to 15 feet of space.

What is the purpose of the small metallic stickers you sell for golf balls?

Metallic stickers are needed in an indoor environment in order for the Mevo to accurately measure ball spin.

Can metallic sharpies be used instead of stickers?

Not currently, but we are working on additional solutions that will make this possible in the near future.

What type of ball spin does Mevo show?

Mevo shows backspin, but does not show spin axis.

What data parameters are displayed?

Carry distance, club head speed, ball speed, smash factor, vertical launch angle, spin rate, apex height, and flight time.

Can Mevo measure dispersion and lateral distance for golf ball tracking?

No. However, Mevo does provide carry distance, club head speed, ball speed and many other valuable data parameters!
